We are thrilled to announce release candidates for Dime.Scheduler on Azure and a brand new installation experience in Dime.Scheduler 2020.2.0. We're also happy to share that we created export and printing capabilities for nearly all the grid-based components in the application.
What's new
In this release, we turned most of our attention to reduce the complexity and installation time of the solution. It is our goal to minimize the involvement of a human operator when it comes to the deployment of the application. In accordance to the roadmap, we made two big steps forward with the release candidates of Dime.Scheduler on Azure and an all-in-one installer. In addition to these eye-catchers, we can also announce basic exporting and printing functions for all grid-based components. With just a few clicks, you'll be able to export nearly all grid-based components, print it and share it. Read about it here.
Improvements and bug fixes
In addition to the traditional performance and stability improvements, the following bugs have been fixed:
- Change default user defined filters
- Default column in load filters window
- Open saved profile
- Drop appointments whose end dates exceed the visible timeline
- Resize and make appointments shorter
- Month labels in the pivot grid
- Apply multiple filters of the same grid in the back office web application
- Log out of the back office web application
- Apply security for users with indicators when broadcasting tasks to the user
Exchange connector update
Microsoft announced the end-of-life of basic authentication for Exchange Web Services, on which the Dime.Scheduler Exchange Connector relies. There's still time to prepare for this change (October 13, 2020).
Simply install the latest version of the connector and read the instructions in the configuration page.
What's next
In the next few months, you can expect to see progress in the connectors area. We will also be on the lookout for feedback on the installer and Azure deployment. Finally, you should also see some smaller features to make the solution easier to use.
