This document applies to all supported versions of Microsoft Dynamics CRM. Any difference between versions or any exception for a specific version is clearly marked.

Supported versions and requirements

To run the Dime.Scheduler connector on Microsoft Dynamics CRM, make you sure you comply with the supported versions and requirements.

Completing the installation

After installing Dime.Scheduler, you need to perform the steps as documented in the subsequent pages to complete the connector's installation.

Solutions

Import the solution files from the installation package for the right CRM version. The connector consists of multiple solutions that need to be installed in the following order:

SolutionDescriptionRequired
Crm Connector DependenciesThis solution contains the code library which manages all the logic used in the connector.✔️
Crm ConnectorContains all entities and user interface components.✔️
Crm Connector SamplesContains sample plugins that show how the connector works.

In order to be able to send data from Dime.Scheduler to CRM, a CRM user account is required. Assign a security role to the user depending on the data that needs to be processed. For example, in case of service scheduling, this user needs to be able to create activity records in CRM.

Also take into account that this user needs full read permissions to all Dime.Scheduler entities. The "DS Planner" role delivered with the CRM solution can be used for this purpose.

Please refer to this article on how to manage users in CRM.
