Requirements

Supported versions

The supported versions of Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central and its lifecycle policy are listed here. Dime.Scheduler also supports any license type.

Supported client types

These client types are supported for all versions:

  • Web Client
  • Mobile Client

The Windows client is also supported for version 13 and 14.

Server requirements

  • SOAP web services are required.
  • WebDAV must be disabled.
  • The Business Central server must have at least two cores if you wish to prevent this error.

Connector type

Both objects and extensions are supported. However, the objects are there only for backwards compatibility. We recommend switching over to extensions as all new investments are done on the connector extension.

Permissions

info

This section only applies to on-premise deployments. This is no longer a requirement for cloud-based Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central instances.

In order to be able to send data from Dime.Scheduler to BC, the account that hosts the application pool must be granted access to BC. This may be the default application pool identity but it is more likely it's the service account for Dime.Scheduler.

Assign the Dime.Scheduler and all other required permission sets to this user. For example, in case of service orders, the user needs to be able to create service order allocations.
